This boat mounting kit is used to house the 2 wheels of your mangrove jack trailer inside your dinghy. They are supported by a piece of aluminium box section that slides through the seat and held in place by the pins from the trailer. This provides quick removal: remove the pins, slide off the wheels and slide out the aluminium box section. Nothing remains in the boat.
The kit also includes two poly plates with 8 fixing rivets. This attaches around the hole in the seats. This prevents the piece of aluminium box section rubbing through the seat from chaffing.
As each dinghy is slightly different, fitting of the rest of the trailer is dependent on the shape and area available in the rest of your dinghy. A few ideas would include:
- The drawbar can be placed across the 2 seats and rachet strapped in place. The trailer main drawbar is telescopic and not shown in these pics. 2 more square holes can be cut to the inside faces of the seats and the drawbar telescoped into these.
